“Another high impact publication from IARC research that will fill in the current evidence gap in the management of cervical precancers in women living with HIV.
The WHO recommended ‘screen, triage and treat. over ‘screen and treat’ for WLHIV positive on HPV test. The recommendation was based on ‘weak’ evidence as there was no RCT to support.
Results of our RCT published in the Nature Communications yesterday provides this missing evidence, making the recommendation stronger.
