ASPIRE for Lung Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Introducing the 4th episode of the APAC Lung Cancer Consensus Video Series
As we head into the week of the APAC Lung Cancer Policy Consensus Launch (taking place this Thursday, 31 July), we’re sharing Episode 4, featuring Francis Goh, a lung cancer survivor and passionate patient advocate with LEAP (Lung Cancer Education and Advocacy for Patients) Singapore. Francis shares his powerful personal journey and the inspiring work he’s doing to ensure that no lung cancer patient feels alone.
As a volunteer with LEAP, Francis is committed to amplifying patient voices, empowering individuals through education, and ensuring that patients have access to the support they need to navigate their cancer journey. He outlines LEAP’s mission, which includes providing educational resources, enabling peer support, advocating for better access to care, and driving patient-focused research.
Francis also highlights the importance of early detection and the need for comprehensive lung cancer screening programmes to reduce mortality and improve outcomes.
Key insights shared by Francis include:
- The critical role of patient education and advocacy in improving outcomes
- The importance of patient involvement in research to ensure that studies focus on outcomes that matter most
- And the need for stronger policies and better screening programmes to improve lung cancer care and survivorship across the APAC region.
Watch the fourth episode to hear Francis’s perspective on how collaboration, education, and advocacy can drive real change in lung cancer care and survivorship.
Don’t forget to register for the virtual launch event on 31 July and join this important regional conversation.”
