Dalia Abouhussein: A remarkable day for the African Continent
Dalia Abouhussein, Quality Assurance Director at Egyptian Drug Authority, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today is a remarkable day for the African Continent.
The North African Medicine Regulatory Harmonization (NA-MRH) Initiative was established to include all north african countries; Egypt, Libya, Tunisea, Algeria, Morocco and Mauritania. By this decision, all the African RECs became active now for the first time.
Today was the first meeting of the NA-MRH steering committee in Cairo, Egypt which has approved the NA-MRH TOR. The bureau was selected to have Egypt as Chair, Morocco as Co-chair of the the steering committee and Tunisia as Secretariat.
I am very honored to participate in this initiative since it was only an idea till it became real today.
The African continent is shaping its medicine regulatory framework to support the operationalization of the AMA by the establishment of a new and vital harmonization initiative. This was kindly supported by AUDA-NEPAD AMRH Program, WHO and collaboration of all Member states.”
