Always avoiding the spotlight when he deserved credit for his many accomplishments, Larry was never absent when difficult challenges needed to be addressed. His overall impact is tremendous because he made success possible for countless researchers across our nation and the world. I am so grateful for the time that I was able to spend working with him!”
