“I’m deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our dear friend, Dr. Carissa Etienne,PAHO/WHO
Director Emeritus, due to a heart attack. Her loss is truly heartbreaking, and she will be greatly missed. Carissa’s dedication to public health and her significant contributions to WHO leave a lasting legacy. She was a visionary leader who inspired us all. On behalf of WHO, I extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.”
