” Applications are now open for the St. Elizabeth Service Internship Program!
Will Downing, a High School Service Intern in the Business Track, spends a portion of every school day immersed in the culture of St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
Like many of us, he started with a structured path in mind. But through hands-on experience and guidance, his future goals became even clearer. Following graduation, Will plans to pursue a major in finance with a minor in accounting, with an end goal of being CFO for a major organization. “Because of the hands-on experience and coaching I was given; my future goals were clear. Having the real-world experience aspect of learning makes everything so much easier to understand.”
Will’s top advice for anyone interning at St. Elizabeth is to “Seek out opportunities for learning. As most would say, what you put in is what you get out.” Will’s journey shows that when you’re open to learning and surrounded by a supportive environment, the possibilities are endless.
