David Fajgenbaum: President Clinton once asked me, ‘What’s Your Dream?’
David Fajgenbaum, Associate Professor of Medicine in Translational Medicine and Human Genetics at the University of Pennsylvania, shared a post on X/Twitter:
“President Clinton once asked me, ‘What’s Your Dream?’
I had to pause because no one had ever asked me that before.
Then I said, my dream is to do what I did for myself but for millions of people around the world. I want to find new uses for all the drugs in your neighborhood pharmacy to save lives now. I teamed up with Grant W Mitchell and Tracey Sikora to launch, Every Cure, a non-profit on a mission to unlock the full potential of approved medicines. If it’s in your local CVS and it’s approved for one disease, we are going to figure out what other diseases the drug could potentially work for. Which systemic problem is your biggest dream to fix?”
