“My heart is full. It is hard to describe the transformation I witnessed at the 1st IASLC PACLC Meeting in Ghana. It was palpable hope expanding like a balloon filling with air; deflated, then rising steadily. 200 people (patients, caregivers, individual advocates and orgs, doctors, nurses, researchers) from across Africa came together to learn, collaborate, and provoke change — 40 of them attended our advocacy workshop – WOW!
You could feel the unity, passion, and commitment to transforming lung cancer research/care in Africa. Thank you, IASLC, for believing in and supporting this vision and making it happen. This is just the beginning, the momentum is real.”
