“KidneyCAN’s work focuses on legislative advocacy — on securing lifesaving research funding to accelerate cures for kidney cancer. With the funding freeze in the news this week, Laurence Albiges brings up an important reminder: We have the same goals. RCC is not a partisan issue.
Cancer can come for any of us, and we need the best and brightest minds working in labs to advance treatments for patients. CRs and funding freezes interrupt work that patients and their families are desperate to see completed. Join us in asking Congress to robustly fund the Kidney Cancer Research Program, the NIH, and the NCI at our next advocacy event.”
