Cassandra Ricci: 20 years of Cervivor’s dedication to ending cervical cancer
Cassandra Ricci, Senior Manager of Alliance Development and Federal Government Affairs at Roche, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week, I had the privilege of participating in the annual Cervical Cancer Summit powered by Cervivor, Inc. with several of my Roche Diagnostics USA colleagues.
2025 marks 20 years of Cervivor’s dedication to ending cervical cancer and cultivating a supportive community for those impacted by the disease. The foundation of it all is Tamika Felder – a dynamic visionary for whom we need more adjectives to articulate just how incredible of a leader and light she is!
The Summit convened patients, caregivers, survivors, advocates, clinicians and industry to discuss the current state of cervical cancer in our communities and how to harness our collective strengths so that no woman or person with a cervix must die from this disease.
Special recognition to Morgan Newman, MSW, Kimberly Williams, MHCM and the Summit committee for organizing such a fantastic event!!
2024 was an incredible year of progress in the pursuit of the elimination of this disease – the FDA approval of HPV Self Collection in the healthcare setting, increased public awareness and media coverage, new data points on attitudes towards screening and access barriers, and long overdue changes in reimbursement policy.
Though today may be the closing day of Cervical Health Awareness Month, the work won’t end at midnight…in fact, it can’t. 2025 must be a year focused on implementing the innovations and knowledge we’ve gained thus far to move forward.”
