NFCR – Patient stories are at the heart of the fight against cancer
National Foundation for Cancer Research shared on LinkedIn:
“As we approach World Cancer Day, we’re sharing stories of strength and resilience, like Cheryl Stratos’.
Diagnosed with stage IV melanoma in 2009 and given a 4% chance of success, Cheryl refused to give up. She joined a clinical trial for an experimental treatment and has been thriving for over 15 years.
Now an NFCR Community Ambassador, Cheryl uses her journey to advocate for others, reminding us that patient stories are at the heart of the fight against cancer.
