Jihenne Ben Aissa-Haj: A memory of pride and gratitude

Jihenne Ben Aissa-Haj, Program Manager at the Center of Excellence in Wound Healing, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“One year already, A memory of pride and gratitude!

Just one year ago, I defended my doctoral thesis entitled: ‘Identification of the mutational profile associated with Diffuse Gastric Cancer and Lynch II Syndrome in Tunisia’, with the highest mention: Very Honorable with Written Congratulations from the Jury.

This moment will remain engraved in my memory as the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance and learning.

This work was an opportunity to explore innovative aspects of gastric cancer genomics, using techniques such as Sanger sequencing, MLPA technique, digital PCR, NGS, AND SNP array. They have contributed to a better understanding of the changes specific to the Tunisian population, thus opening up prospects for personalized medicine adapted to our region.

This memory is all the more precious because it was shared with my supervisors Prof. Samir Boubaker and Dr. Maria Kabbage and my foreign tutor, Dr. Etienne Rouleau, who believed in me and accompanied me throughout this scientific adventure. Their trust, their advice and their pride during my defense were a source of inspiration and deep motivation for me.

In parallel to this enriching scientific experience, I continued my career as a scientific project manager in the framework of the PerMediNA project, where I participated in the coordination of activities and trainings. I was responsible for monitoring the progress of the project by ensuring that the indicators were respected.

Today, with this scientific and managerial background, I am open to new professional opportunities in the fields of biomedical research, scientific project management and the development of innovative solutions in health.
