Michelle Kirschner: Funding Supportive Care – Challenges and Opportunities
Michelle Kirschner, Clinical Lead and Medical Advisory Board Chairman at OneVillage, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Funding Supportive Care: Challenges and Opportunities
We have discussed in many of our CSPN meetings, funding for supportive care comes from two main sources: research and philanthropic funding. Our cancer centers often have development teams busy raising funds.
However, those building supportive care programs (and leading Standard 4.8 program building) often lack education on how to fully leverage these fundraising efforts. Additionally, funding in academic centers can often be funneled to research instead of programs that benefit our survivors right now.
To address this, Terry Pearl from 360 Philanthropy Partners has graciously agreed to present on Wednesday, January 22nd at noon PT/3 pm ET for CSPN Coffee Talk – Professional Resource Room – Developing Your Case for Support for Philanthropy.
RSVP here to join the discussion and learn how to better fund your supportive care programs if you are a CSPN member.
