Megan-Claire Chase: Attending the Stand Up for Trans Georgians Rally
Megan-Claire Chase, Breast Cancer Program Director for SHARE Cancer Support, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Yesterday, I attended the Stand Up for Trans Georgians: Rally on Day One of the State Legislative Session, and it was an incredibly impactful and poignant experience. I firmly believe that meaningful change in healthcare and cancer care begins with listening to and learning from the communities you aim to serve.
It was such an empowering and just ah-mazing feeling to stand in solidarity with others, advocating for equality and understanding.
I had the chance to connect with remarkable organizations involved in the rally, engage in heartfelt conversations with parents of trans teens, and hear firsthand from trans individuals and other members of the LGBTQIA+ community about their experiences.
Their stories and perspectives were both moving and enlightening, reinforcing the importance of standing together for justice and inclusion.”
