Wafik S. El-Deiry: After 25 years of such service I feel that requiring this type of training is extremely burdensome
Wafik S. El-Deiry, Associate Dean for Oncologic Sciences at the Warren Alpert Medical School and Director of the Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University, shared a post on X/Twitter:
”When am I supposed to do this? NIH, National Cancer Institute. With all due respect, reviewers provide countless hours of service and in person feedback to the NIH. After 25 years of such service that has been continuous, I feel that requiring this type of training is extremely burdensome as I and many of my colleagues already have very full schedules, not the least of which is the amount of time I spend writing NIH grants that don’t get discussed.”
