Malte Roerden: How different immune evasion mechanisms interfere with immunoediting of evolving tumors

Malte Roerden, Physician-Scientist in Hematology and Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Tübingen, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent paper by him and Stefani Spranger published in Nature Reviews Immunology:

“Very excited to share our recent work now published in Nature Reviews Immunology!

We reviewed how different immune evasion mechanisms interfere with immunoediting of evolving tumors and how these fosters intratumor heterogeneity on the one hand or clonal selection processes on the other. Moreover, we review emerging data on the role of intratumor heterogeneity itself in blunting anti-tumor immunity.

A big thank you to Stefani Spranger for the great teamwork while writing the article!”
