Raffaele Colombo: Can you believe these were written almost 40 years ago?
Paolo Tarantino, Research Fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute shared a post on Twitter by Raffaele Colombo, Principal Scientist and Group Lead in Medicinal Chemistry at Zymeworks, adding:
“Slow payload release, importance of the payload choice, relevance of target heterogeneity: most of the key aspects of how ADCs work were known in 1985. Some have been forgotten today.”
Quoting Raffaele Colombo‘s post:
“Fascinating how certain insights from older ADC papers seem to resonate even more today! Snapshots from the pioneering work on vinca ADCs by Lilly and the outstanding perspective by Dr. Epin Boven and Dr. Bob Pinedo! Can you believe these were written almost 40 years ago?”
