Khalid El Bairi: 9-hour training on research integrity
Khalid El Bairi, Founder of The Cancer Biomarkers Working Group, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, we successfully accomplished a 9-hour training on research integrity to a highly motivated group of predoctoral PhD students from the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences – CAES I UM6P.
The educational sessions focused on preventing misconduct by exploring real-life cases related to data manipulation and falsification, plagiarism, the use of AI in writing, copyright issues, paper mills, conflicts of interest with industry, predatory publishing and conferences, ethical deviations, and more.
We also discussed how effective policy formulation can help academic institutions address and prevent research integrity issues.
Special recognition goes to Dr. Fatima El Yousfi, who is doing remarkable work at UM6P – University Mohammed VI Polytechnic by establishing essential frameworks to support researchers in maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct through the Policy Office.
Our thanks also go to Ismail Ghorbal for coordinating this initiative and to the dean of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences – CAES I UM6P at UM6P for spearheading the development of these valuable courses.”
