We are in a transition where practitioners are moving more toward a universal genetic testing approach of cancer patients especially in cancers like breast cancer. Are people actually getting the testing now? Hard to know.
Nationally, only about a 1/3 patients who met testing criteria were being tested around the time of our study. When patients are evaluated in a systematic fashion, that number can soar to above 90% as seen in our study.”
