Emad Shash: Uniting for a better patient journey in Breast Cancer Care
Emad Shash, General Manager of the Breast Cancer Comprehensive Center of the National Cancer Institute at Cairo University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Yesterday’s session was truly exceptional!
We came together to discuss a vital topic: uniting for a better patient journey in breast cancer care—from the initial suspicion to diagnosis, confirmation, multidisciplinary decision-making, treatment execution, and survivorship.
This comprehensive approach brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the WHO, the Presidential Initiative for Women’s Health, University Hospitals, the Breast Comprehensive Cancer Center (NCI, Cairo University), along with patient education and navigation units, NGOs, pharma representatives, and a public influencer.
We explored critical aspects of enhancing collaboration and building stronger partnerships to improve every step of the breast cancer patient journey. The session sparked meaningful discussions and generated actionable take-home messages that we are excited to follow up on.
Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, dedication, and insights to this important conversation. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for breast cancer patients.
Let’s continue to push boundaries and make impactful changes!”
