Toufic Kachaamy: I am thankful for the opportunity to serve patients, lead teams, and contribute to Innovative care
Thanksgiving was on Thursday, November 28, 2024. On this occasion, physicians worldwide have expressed their gratitude. Toufic Kachaamy, Chief of Medicine and Medical Director of Gastroenterology at City of Hope Phoenix, shared a post on LinkedIn on the occasion:
“As we gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting on the moments and people who have shaped my journey.
I am profoundly grateful for my family for filling my life with joy, purpose, and a deep sense of belonging. You remind me every day why we embrace challenges and cherish the moments of connection. You help me grown and inspire me to appreciate every moment and live life to the fullest.
In my role as a physician and leader, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve patients, lead teams, and contribute to innovative care. Each day our team come together to support each other and strive to be the best versions of ourselves. Each patient’s story reminds me how fragile yet resilient life is, and how essential it is to live with intention and never take a moment for granted.
This Thanksgiving, I also want to extend gratitude to my colleagues, mentors, and the community I’ve been privileged to work with. From Arizona to our national collaborations in every conversation, challenge, and success has been a step toward making a difference together.
To America and the American people, I am forever grateful for welcoming me and giving me the opportunity to live the American Dream. This country has allowed me to dream big, work hard, and make a difference in ways I once thought unimaginable.
Here’s to celebrating the small moments, the big achievements, and everything in between. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones—may it be filled with gratitude and hope.”
