This week, Johnson and Johnson JENA Leadership Team and I had the privilege of visiting Luxor and witnessing firsthand the dedication toward improving healthcare in the region for millions of patients.

With Dr. Ahmed Al Borei, Head of the General Authority for Healthcare for Upper Egypt, we observed how Universal Healthcare Insurance is progressing and how the authority’s advanced system for data generation is monitoring and improving service to patients.

Also, our time at Shifa Al Orman Hospital – a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to serving cancer patients – has been memorable.

Hosted by Dr. Emad Shash, General Manager of the Breast Cancer Comprehensive Center of the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, and Dr. Hany Hussein, General manager of Shifa Al Orman Hospital in Luxor, we witnessed the hospital’s exceptional facilities and compassionate care.

As we continue our mission to leave no patient behind, we are engaged to further contribute to elevating healthcare for patients in Upper Egypt.”
