“It was a fantastic opportunity to attend the 2024 meeting of the National Cancer Grid India at Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai under the leadership of CS Pramesh. Impressive to hear about all the activities that are taking place to deliver multidisciplinary cancer care in the best possible way in this very big country.
The EORTC – European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer will welcome the first fellow of EORTC-National Cancer Grid India in Brussels next year and will take part in the CReDO workshop in India in 2025, promoting further collaborations. Grateful for giving me the opportunity to present the capabilities of EORTC – European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer in performing high-quality clinical cancer research, contributing to defining optimal care for cancer patients globally.”
Dr. Winette van der Graaf is the President of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). She is a professor and the head of medical oncology Department at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (Amsterdam), Professor of Oncology at Erasmus MC (Rotterdam).
Dr. van der Graaf is a Board member of the European Cancer Organisation (ECO), Board member of the Connective Tissue Oncology (CTOS). Her research is focused on adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer and sarcomas.
