Claire Albano, Director of European Government Affairs at Bristol Myers Squibb, shared on LinkedIn:
“How is digitalisation transforming cancer care and how could the potential of digital health be further encouraged by EU policymakers?
Ridwaan Jhetam, SVP, Head of Worldwide Medical, Hematology at Bristol Myers Squibb, shares his expertise on our BMS EU policy website. Click here to watch the full video interview. Here are three ways digitalization is improving healthcare.
First, artificial intelligence, or AI, is making health systems smarter and the development of medicines faster.
Second, digital tools are enabling telepathology for better cancer diagnoses and more online medical consultations.
Third, more people from diverse backgrounds and geographies can take part in clinical trials because we are better connected.
Scientific progress should be encouraged by policymakers. Through the planned revision of the General Pharma Legislation and the ongoing political negotiations on the EHDS, EU policymakers can accelerate scientific progress and nurture innovation, thereby contributing to make the EU a global healthcare leader.”
