Olubukola Ayodele has been awarded Runner-Up in the Most Inspiring Role Model category at the UHL Educator Awards

Olubukola Ayodele, Consultant Medical Oncologist at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Honoured and Grateful!

I’m thrilled to share that I was awarded Runner-Up in the Most Inspiring Role Model category at the UHL Educator Awards! Being recognized among such talented educators and passionate colleagues is truly humbling.

I was nominated in three categories – Most Supportive Supervisor, Outstanding Contribution to Teaching (Postgrad), and Most Inspiring Role Model – and to receive this honour is incredibly meaningful.

But perhaps the most rewarding part of the day was coming back from the event to find a thank you card from one of our foundation year doctors expressing their gratitude for the support, advice, and mentorship I’ve been able to provide.

Moments like these remind me why I love what I do and reinforce my commitment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

A heartfelt thank you to University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and everyone who made this possible. I am so grateful for the opportunities to learn from and inspire each other and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the world of education and healthcare!”
