Mohit Manrao: How we can uphold the values of the holiday to create a better world

“Diwali, the festival of lights, is my favorite Holiday of the year.
Last night, I celebrated with my family, reflecting on the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. This special holiday also encourages us to think about how we can uphold the values of the holiday to create a better world.
We all have a role to play and can drive impact beyond what we can imagine.
At Astra Zeneca we fight every day to eliminate cancer as a cause of death, bringing new hope to our patients. While we have so much to celebrate, there is still so much to be done.

Mohit Manrao is the SVP and Head of US Oncology at AstraZeneca and President of the AstraZeneca Foundation, where he leads community grant programs. As Executive Sponsor of AstraZeneca’s US Health Equity Initiative, he focuses on reducing healthcare disparities. He also serves as a Board Member of the National Pharmaceutical Council.
