Toufic Kachaamy: Now is the time for gastroenterologists in cancer care
Toufic Kachaamy posted the following on LinkedIn:
“Gastroenterologists, now is the time to get more involved in the evolving world of cancer care and endoscopic oncology. Here’s why:
1.This is a growing field where gastroenterologists are playing an increasingly significant role in patient care.
2.Innovations in cancer ablation are offering more treatment options than ever before, enabling us to make a difference in outcomes.
3.Cancer treatments, especially immunotherapies, often come with side effects that gastroenterologists can help diagnose and manage, enhancing patient care.
4.Being part of a multidisciplinary team opens new horizons and creates possibilities for learning and growth, while pushing boundaries in patient care.
5.Most importantly, there’s something deeply fulfilling about supporting patients through the toughest fight of their lives.
