Rob Winn: Honored to kick off the AACI DEI Summit
Rob Winn shared the following on LinkedIn:
“When it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion, sometimes it can be hard and sometimes it can be inconvenient, but you’re not going to convince me that we’ll be better off without it, that’s why I am honored to kick off this year’s AACI (Association of American Cancer Institutes) DEI Summit. We are all One Team One Fight.”
Robert A. Winn, M.D., is the Director and Lipman Chair in Oncology at VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center and a professor at VCU School of Medicine. Winn oversees nearly 150 scientists and clinical investigators and is nationally recognized for his community engagement efforts.
He manages a research lab focusing on lung cancer and health disparities, supported by NIH and Veterans Affairs Merit awards. Previously, he directed the University of Illinois Cancer Center and held various leadership roles at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
