The incredible bravery of five-year-old Quincy – St. Baldrick’s Foundation
St. Baldrick’s Foundation recently shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Five-year-old Quincy adores singing and dancing to Taylor Swift, and loves spending time with her older sister, Josie, and younger brother, Calvin.
Quincy was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on March 24, 2022, and immediately began treatment. After 2 years and 2 months of aggressive chemotherapies, Quincy finished treatment in May 2024. However, she faces daily challenges, including pain in her feet due to avascular necrosis, trouble using her fine motor skills, and getting tired easily.
Quincy has since started kindergarten and is trying her best to be fully integrated back into school and social scenarios that she missed while in treatment. She’s also going to start soccer soon and is doing cheerleading to help build her strength back.
Her mom, Katie, shared, ‘Quincy has faced this journey with incredible bravery, and we are so thankful for her strong spirit.’ ’’
