Highlights from Philippine Society of Medical Oncology 38th Annual Convention
The Philippine Society of Medical Oncology (PSMO) held its 38th Annual Convention in Manila, Philippines, from October 8th to 11th, 2024, at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel.
The Philippine Society of Medical Oncology (PSMO) is a professional organization established to advance the field of oncology in the Philippines. Founded in 1969, PSMO focuses on enhancing the quality of cancer care through education, research, and collaboration among its members.
The Philippine Society of Medical Oncology (PSMO) has been holding its annual congress since 1987. The first Congress on Cancer took place on November 27-28, 1987, at the Hotel Intercontinental Manila. The event was organized by the PSMO in collaboration with other oncology-related societies.
This annual event was crucial for fostering professional development within the oncology community in the Philippines and promoting advancements in cancer care.
The convention was themed “Precision Medicine: Driving the Future and Optimizing Cancer Care in the Philippines,” focusing on advancements in personalized cancer treatment and research. Attendees had the chance to engage with leading experts in the field of oncology, participate in discussions, and share insights on the future of cancer care.
