Every Day Matters When It Comes to Lung Cancer Awareness – Oncogene Cancer Research
Oncogene Cancer Research shared Maxine Bowley’s, Business Development Manager, Military Sales – UK & EMEA West at ZOLL Medical Corporation, post on LinkedIn:
“Every day matters when it comes to lung cancer awareness.
Thank you to Charlie for so bravely and clearly expressing what so many in our community live with: the urgency, the stigma, the love, and the fight.
We stand with all those affected by oncogene-driven lung cancers – like EGFR – and we remain committed to research, support, and change.”
On World Lung Cancer Day Maxine Bowley shared a post:
“Today is World Lung Cancer Day.
A day to raise awareness, stand in solidarity, and honor those affected by this devastating disease.
For me, it’s not just a statistic or a headline – it’s personal.
I want to dedicate this day to everyone battling lung cancer, to the survivors, to the families walking beside them – and especially to my wife Charlie Maxwell
Diagnosed in Nov 23 with EGFR 19, she still continues to fight. Her strength, courage, and grace in the face of something so difficult is beyond words. She inspires me every single day.
Lung cancer doesn’t care about age, lifestyle, or background. It doesn’t always come with warning signs, and doesn’t always come with risk factors you’d expect. You don’t have to have smoked. All you need is lungs. That’s the heartbreaking truth.
It’s time we continue to challenge the stigma, advocate for early detection, support more research, and stand together in compassion.
To those we’ve lost, to those still fighting, and to the loved ones who never give up – you are not forgotten. You are not alone.
