“NEW INSURANCE TACTIC JUST DROPPED!
A ‘peer’ reviewer approved a drug over the phone then reversed their decision in writing WITHOUT TELLING ME OR THE PATIENT INVOLVED. I cannot abide this cowardly callousness by another doctor who must know that delays can cause real harm! (adding insult to injury, the bait-and-switch phone call was — of course — scheduled at an inconvenient time of the arbiter’s own choosing in the middle of our busy clinic, and, in the Year of Our Lord 2023, the craven denial arrived much later by fax:).”
