Kristina Jenei: Nurses are key in advocating for patients.
Kristina Jenei, Public Health Researcher at the University of British Columbia, shared a post by Vinay Prasad, Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in UCSF, on X/Twitter, adding:
”Nurses are key in advocating for patients. We see firsthand (up to 16h/day!) the power medicines have on people’s treatment outcomes and, most importantly, hope. But we don’t get trained to understand the evidence. I wish more people included nurses like this!”
Quoting Vinay Prasad’s post:
”I gave a lecture to nurses and other oncology staff about the great and crazy things we do in cancer medicine yesterday.”
