Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: The importance of regular self-examinations and regular screening with Chito Nwana

Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu shared a post on LinkedIn:

“‘The Fear factor’, often prevents women, especially in low- and middle-income countries, from seeking a diagnosis. Socio-cultural barriers, stigma, and financial constraints add to the challenge.

I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on the Hercast podcast with my sister, Dr Chito Nwana.

In a two-part series, we delved into crucial topics surrounding women’s cancer prevention, focusing more on breast and cervical cancer. Our discussion highlighted the importance of regular self-examinations and regular screening, which are key in the early detection and treatment of these cancers.

Other important topics you can hear my views on are patient voices and advocacy, and partnership programs.

Remember: Your health is in your hands.

Please watch the entire podcast episode and subscribe to her channel. It’s quite informative.”
