Chris Gethin: Skylab will bridge the gap between the lab and the clinic

“Fantastic to have been at The Francis Crick Institute today to celebrate the opening of the Skylab, which has been made possible thanks to a hugely generous £17m gift from the Chris Banton Foundation.

Opened in partnership with MSD – the Skylab will allow collaboration between the two organisations and help bridge the gap between the lab and the clinic.

We’re very grateful to the foundation for this gift, which followed their incredible transformational gift of £50m towards translational science at the Crick in 2022.

The Crick is a world-class discovery research facility and continues to be a priority partner for us and our philanthropic campaign More Research, Less Cancer.”
