“By publishing this letter in The Lancet, we wanted to bring the attention of doctors to the humanitarian crisis happening in Nagorno-Karabakh. While our efforts were made prior to the recent escalation, it is crucial to acknowledge the worsening conditions and the heartbreaking reality that thousands of Armenians have been displaced, desperately seeking refuge from the turmoil.
In response to the urgent situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, let’s heighten awareness and garner support. Together, we can foster hope and seek sustainable solutions.
Special thanks to Dr. Robert Peter Gale, a remarkable physician who embodies excellence in his medical profession and epitomizes the genuine essence of humanitarianism. Gevorg Tamamyan Dr Stella Arakelyan Institute of Cancer and Crisis.”
