The inaugural Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) CME Conference
The first-ever Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) CME Conference, scheduled to be an annual event, will take place on Sept. 7.
The conference will take place at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson Social Hall (Room 2500) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It’s primary focus will be on the education and management of complex issues related to the pancreas, liver, and bile ducts, with an emphasis on cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Experts in HPB surgery, medical oncology, surgical oncology, interventional gastroenterology, and interventional radiology will address the multidisciplinary management of challenging conditions such as gallbladder issues, bile duct injuries, pancreatic cancer, acute and chronic pancreatitis, benign and malignant liver masses, and gastroesophageal cancers.
The conference will include case discussions involving multiple disciplines.
It offers a learning opportunity for general surgeons, oncologists, gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, and HPB specialists involved in the care of these patients.
Rachna Shroff, Associate Director of Clinical Investigations at UACC, shared on X:
