“A Moment of Reflection After Serving 2,000+ Days as Chair…
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue serving as Department Chair for another term. Thank you to my Dean Jan Hirsch, my colleagues in the School, and our department for your trust and support.
The past five years have been nothing short of transformative. Our department has been in full growth mode – launching impactful programs, hiring brilliant faculty, navigating the challenges of the pandemic, and successfully completing multiple accreditation visits.
We’ve also held countless department discussions, initiated lifelong collaborations across and beyond UC Irvine, and built initiatives that will benefit generations of pharmacists.
As I step into another term as Chair, I’m reminded of the core principle that has guided me throughout the past 2000 days: leading by serving. It’s time to refocus, listen deeply, support intentionally, and empower others to thrive. Let’s keep pushing boundaries and shaping the future of healthcare together!”
