Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI) shared on LinkedIn:
“We are heartened by the enthusiasm and passion for clinical research and advancing clinical trials at the SCRI Clinical Trials Symposium, evident in how attendees were sharing their knowledge and networking with industry peers.
ICYMI, here’s a recap of the final panels on day 2, Wednesday 31 July 2024:
- Ms Karla Childers, Associate Professor. Cher Heng Tan, Dr. Alex Zhavoronkov and Associate Professor Nan Liu (moderator) spoke on existing AI trends, the challenges of implementing AI technology in clinical trials and the ethical considerations involved.
- Professor Michael Gibson, Ms Mingshi Koh, Professor Khung Keong Yeo and Ms Yeoh Ying Ying (moderator) discussed Singapore’s perspective on big data analytics, the role of new technologies in supporting the importance of humanising healthcare by addressing mental well-being and considering the impact of additional data collection on patients.
Our symposium drew to a close with an address by Associate Professor Danny Soon, Executive Director of SCRI and CEO of Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS).
He emphasised the contributions of clinical trials in enabling access to novel therapies, and observed that the wide-ranging participation in this year’s symposium is heartening as it reflects the growing interest in the potential of clinical trials to advance medical research, improve patient outcomes and boost healthcare innovation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us!
Let us continue on this journey together to tap on the potential of clinical trials to improve health outcomes and transform tomorrow’s health!”
