About Gilberto Lopes
Gilberto Lopes, MD, is the medical director for international programs and associate director at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami. He serves as chief of the medical oncology division and professor of clinical medicine at the Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Gilberto Lopes is on the board of directors for the Union International for Cancer Control and is Editor-in-Chief for JCO Global Oncology. With over 200 publications he has led numerous studies and clinical trials across various cancer types. Dr. Lopes’ research focuses on disparities, health economics, and access to cancer care globally.
