The “Libby Do” award for inaugural Libby’s Lungs event

“A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us this past Saturday for our inaugural Libby’s Lungs event as an independent 501(c)(3).
We were honored to present the “Libby Do” award to Laura Stabile for her outstanding research in women’s lung cancer. For those who knew Elizabeth, you will appreciate the special meaning behind the award’s name.
We aimed to raise $55,000 in celebration of what would have been Elizabeth’s 55th birthday today. Thanks to the amazing support from our sponsors, attendees, and donors, we surpassed that goal by nearly $20,000.
These additional funds will play a crucial role in advancing lung cancer research at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and providing patient support services for lung cancer patients in the Pittsburgh region.
Special thanks to members of our board and our volunteers for giving their time, talent and treasure.”
