“It was an honor to represent His Excellency President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR at the commissioning ceremony of the Thompson Abayomi Oshin Physiotherapy Building at the College of Medicine, UCH Ibadan. This commendable structure was built by Pa Oshin’s children to honor their father, Africa and Nigeria’s first physiotherapist, Professor T. Abayomi Oshin.
The building will house lecture rooms, offices, and a museum dedicated to the beginnings of physiotherapy in Africa and Nigeria. It will serve as a beacon for advancements in physiotherapy in Nigeria and West Africa, supporting the education and development of both current and future physiotherapists. It will also further cement the history and legacy of the great Professor Thompson Abayomi Oshin. I extend heartfelt congratulations to Pa Oshin on his 98th birthday and the commissioning of this remarkable facility.”

Tunji Alausa is the honorable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Federal Republic of Nigeria. Dr. Alausa is a United States board-certified Nephrologist. Previously he has been Executive Chairman and Chief Medical Officer at the Dialysis Care Center. Dr. Alausa is the founder and former executive chairman of both Kidney Care Center, and Dialysis Care Center.
