Emma M. Groarke, Hematologist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), shared a post on X about a recent paper titled “Safety and efficacy of immunosuppressive therapy for elderly patients with severe aplastic anaemia” published in the Wiley Online Library.
Authors: Ashvind Prabahran, Jibran Durrani, Juan Coelho-Da Silva, Ruba Shalhoub, Jennifer Lotter, Olga Rios, David S. Ritchie, Colin O. Wu, Bhavisha A. Patel, Neal S. Young, Emma M. Groarke.
“Excited to see our NIH NHLBI (NIH institute on heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders research) study published in British Journal of Haematology. Looking at SAA (Severe aplastic anemia) patients >60 years getting ATG-based therapy, some increased toxicity with pre-existing heart disease but responders have similar OS to younger. Led by Ashvind Prabahran and Jibran Durrani.”
