Thank you FairLife Lung Cancer Care for sharing Eric’s powerful story to End the Stigma – Oncogene Cancer Research
Oncogene Cancer Research shared on LinkedIn:
“Eric, from Greece, lost his dad to KRAS G12C lung cancer in 2020, when he was just 12 years old and his dad was 57.
Eric has firsthand experience of how the stigma of lung cancer hurts families and relationships – and is wrong.
Eric remembers being angry with his father who had smoked earlier in life but given up when he was born. Eric says, ‘I feel as if I cheated my father. That I’m at fault for making him feel the way he probably felt at the time. No one should feel the way I probably made my father feel. The stigma is wrong.’
Thank you to our friends at FairLife Lung Cancer Care for sharing Eric’s powerful video. It takes courage to share such stories.”
