One of social media’s most recognizable food blogger, Nara Smith, has opened up about the most painful chapter of her family’s life: the cancer diagnosis of her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou.
Smith, widely known for preparing elaborate meals and everyday foods from scratch for millions of followers, revealed that Whimsy was diagnosed with cancer in late 2025. According to Smith, the family first became concerned after noticing “something suspicious” on Whimsy late in 2025.

Following the biopsy, the family was informed that Whimsy had cancer. Smith said they were also told that the disease had spread and that their daughter needed to begin chemotherapy immediately.

She later shared that Whimsy’s curls had started to grow back.
