“The 8 things I wish I’d known at the start of my breast cancer diagnosis:
1) The fear of recurrence never leaves you
2) I don’t need breasts to feel like a woman
3) Memories are more important than shoes + handbags
4) Friends will come and friends will go
5) You can reinvent yourself
6) Chemo is tough but you won’t remember it
7) There are alternatives to HRT to help with menopausal side effects
8) Exercise should be the first treatment you have.”
