Sally Wolf: As long as we stay alive, we go forward.
Sally Wolf, CEO and Founder of LightWorks, recently shared on LinkedIn:
“As long as we stay alive, we go forward. But whether we choose to grow forward – to grow as we go – is entirely up to us:
– To embrace a growth mindset.
– To choose to make meaning.
– To live with deep purpose.
Our ability to grow through challenges is one of my favorite lessons of positive psychology. And, I’m reminded each year, during the Jewish high holy days.
This quote from yesterday’s Rosh Hashanah prayer book has touched me repeatedly over the years as it could easily be found in a positive psychology textbook.
Whatever your faith, my hope is these words resonate for you as they repeatedly have for me.
Cancer has repeatedly taught me we are always at least a little stronger than we realize. And that, whatever our unique challenges, when we choose mindset, meaning and purpose, we boost our resilience and improve how we experience each day.
Wishing those celebrating a happy and healthy new year – shana tovah! – and everyone else a beautiful and meaningful day.
And if you’re still reading, thank YOU. Many of you have joined my LinkedIn community during the past year, inspiring me to grow my voice here, and I am deeply grateful for you all.”
