Women NSW’s shared on LinkedIn:
“Cancer Institute NSW and Breast Screen NSW have seen record-breaking participation in breast screening, the highest number ever recorded.
A breast screen can detect very small cancers, sometimes as small as a grain of rice, before they can be felt or noticed by you or your doctor.”
Have you ever wondered what happens at a breast screen appointment?
To which, Tracey O’Brien, Chief Cancer Officer and CEO, added:
“Incredibly proud of this record achievement but also conscious that there is so much more to do. About half a million women in NSW are overdue for a mammogram. Twenty minutes, zero cost and it could save your life.”
