“On Sat, 25th July 2026, we gathered in the Global Oncology Research Centre Building (former Fred Hutch),at Uganda Cancer Institute for the 2026 ç (GAM).
The meeting brought together UCS members to reflect on our collective journey, review organizational progress, strengthen governance, and set the course for the future.
It also provided an opportunity to celebrate achievements, share experiences, discuss key priorities, and reaffirm our shared commitment to coordinating efforts that reduce the cancer burden in Uganda.
Our keynote speaker, Tina Wamala highlighted the importance of collaboration and strategic networking in advancing the cancer agenda. She challenged each member to reach out to at least three different organizations per week for partnership.
UCS appreciates all members, partners, and stakeholders whose participation made the meeting a success.”
