“Congratulations to Professor Naureen Starling, Consultant Medical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden, and her family, who recently completed the climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
After months of training and preparation, they surpassed their £20,000 target and raised more than £62,000.
Naureen said:
While the physical and mental challenge of climbing Africa’s highest mountain tested us in ways we have never experienced before, it is only a fraction of the challenge faced by people living with cancer every day.
Their remarkable achievement highlights the dedication and generosity of our staff here at The Royal Marsden and the difference they make to patients and families every day.”
